as someone who uses crystals but has bibles and rosaries i dislike people who use their religion as a way to excuse their hatred towards minorities or people different than themselves.

Asking this mainly because my grandparents ridicule my cousin for her faith (“How can you believe there’s a God? I thought you were smarter than that” and much ruder things) but then they also believe in supernatural spirits and spiritual energy.

I agree with you completely, feel the same way. I’m more so asking about people who aren’t just criticizing religion as a system but instead constantly make fun of others for “praying to sky daddy” or ridicule them for having belief in a higher power, no matter the religion, but then also engage in spiritual practices.

yeah i don’t understand that either because in a way they talk to a higher power as well whatever deity it may be that they work with.
