something i recently noticed is that majority of “gender neutral” things (clothes,etc) are usually just- masculine but not as masculine as we normally perceive masculine stuff to be like if it was gender neutral it would be the perfect middle, why is that

This is actually something that’s been studied in sociology (/gender studies), as a patriarchal society masculinty js often considered the norm- so “gender neutral” things actually tend to lean more masculine

ive always believed clothes don’t have gender and the gender associated with the clothing is just to tell the consumer how the clothing is made to fit like women having lower cut tops or pants being made to fit wider hips or men’s pants being longer because men tend to be taller

It’s also part of the reason trans men are often more accepted than trans women as they are seen to be transitioning to the norm rather than away from it
