I’m terrified of ending up with a doctor who doesn’t take me seriously because the way I was raised makes it impossible for me to advocate for myself. If I was having back pain from kidney failure and a doc said it was my period I’d literally go home lol

Yeah I stuck at advocating for myself too. It’s been helpful that my family taught me how. But I think it’s a problem everyone has even if they have a personality that aggressively advocates

I never advocate for myself at the doctors because i know none of them gaf. I’ll say everything just to watch them ignore it bc its getting entertaining to be visibly suffering and either no one gaf or they find it just as funny as me

I totally know what you mean. It’s actually pretty dangerous and really awful in some ways. And a big disadvantage in some areas of life. It’s funny you mention that. I really feel like ik what you mean
