I’m about to be evicted because my parents decided to stop paying my rent. Ik people are going to say I should’ve paid my own, but my parents and I had an agreement that they’d pay if I focused solely on school. They literally told me not to work.
As someone who had the same agreement with my parents, that sounds awful and stressful. I’m sorry you’re going through that

Yeah exactly, my parent said they’d pay for my school what scholarships don’t over, and for housing, but they don’t actually give me any money. Much less a trust fund.

i literally did, there’s many middle class families that pay their child education, esp if it’s low in state tuition

They’re lowk narcissists who use money as a weapon. Couple months ago my mom got into a huge fight with my little sister for something dumb and when I defended my sister my mom said I was ungrateful and stopped paying

So now you’re about to be evicted? Damn narcissistic or not you still might have to suck it up and say you were wrong or get a job .

I already tried to suck it up and say I was wrong but they didn’t care. I’ve been applying to jobs like crazy but haven’t heard back. Even if I do get a job tomorrow my first paycheck won’t come until after my court date

Dang. Can you talk to your landlord or put it on credit?

I don’t have a credit card. It’s not like a landlord, it’s an apartment building owned by some corporation multiple states away. My only option is to talk to a team of corporate lawyers, which I’ve tried but they don’t fucking respond to me
