i feel like with the current state of affairs between men and women it makes sense. hating on women for no reason is sorta like kicking someone while they're down. women deal with cat calls, getting creepy dms from guys across platforms, the pay gap, the current state of policies being geared towards them, their bodies being up for public debate, etc. idk tho
How is it a prison we built when we literally had no choice to the sex we are born with? Also if thatās a prison we built around ourselves and we are crying about it I can point out one and hear your thoughts. Why do women complain that there are no good men, yet they give their attention and desire to bad men?
men having to register for the draft isnt bc society hates men. its a leftover from when women were legally barred from combat roles. most feminists actually support either abolishing the draft. one outdated policy that literally stemmed from misogyny (as i explained in my previous message) doesnt mean theres a systemic bias against men in the same way misogyny has historically impacted women
I mean your underlying observation that thereās a double standard is true. In fact no one really argued that, they only pivoted to justify it. But believing youāre going to get people to admit bashing men is wrong because they are obligated to sign up for selective service or something is silly. #alliteration. Trying to have an argument about how we should treat people based on one shared characteristic is useless.
Blockhead was harsh of me. If thatās the case then we are in agreement. I am fascinated by this concept that people of a certain trait need to answer for the actions of everyone who looked like them for all of human history. Seems like itās a perfect reflection of whatever opportunist supremacist view theyāre trying to depose
