Some high schools are substantially easier than some colleges and vice versa. And some mental health problems kick in in college and some people lose people and some people have difficulty adjusting to the independence or social circumstances of college… so much stuff could be going on here
for you it might be a mentality that you just had to change and meds don't seem to have anything to do with it. but your experience is not everyones.im not gonna explain the many steps I took to better my life and schooling habits before seeking a diagnosis, but getting one wasn't just meds but accommodations for turning in assignments and taking tests too. you should really think ab what you say before you make weird comments calling ppl lazy but not trying to be harsh
okay but you got to experience that sort of normal while on meds. that helped you build a routine and realize what it feels like without all the adhd symptoms fogging your brain. they didnt so they dont know how to switch their mentality into something they have never experienced. its completely different from your scenario.
your story isn’t coming off as inspirational, you sound judgy. calling a person with ADHD lazy is not going to motivate them to do better, even if it worked for you. if “negative mentality” was the issue for you, maybe your issue was more with depression than attention. your experience isn’t everyone else’s and you don’t get to say it’s solely about mentality or what OP should do because that is projecting ur own experience onto that of someone you do not know. holy self centered
