Everyone needs to get checked. You can get STDs from birth, from long term relationships, from a single hookup, drug use, etc. like the number of people who have oral herpes and pass them off as “cold sores” that everyone has is horrifying.

If you are sexually active AT ALL you should be getting tested. All it takes is one person once, and many people are asymptomatic and spread stuff unknowingly. Even if you’re using protection for penetrative sex you can still get infections like chlamydia in your mouth 👍
