I don’t really know what your situation is but I’ll say this just in case you need it. It’s okay. It might hurt a lot right now, but trust me in the future you’ll feel so much better without the pain of the relationship. Thank you bro i feel like such a bad person but I just can't be their pity friend. They need to work on themselves a shit ton though if im ever gonna try it again with them. I just want someone to show that they want to be my friend just not have me as a consolation

And that’s okay! I believe that friendship breakups can be similar to relationship breakups. You don’t have to have someone in your life if they make it hard for you, in any way. Sometimes you just can’t be there for people all the time, and as much as it sucks, you have the power to back away when you need.
