Nobody should hate anybody, we should love our neighbors and judge righteously. Nobody is perfect and like jesus said, whoever is without sin, cast the first stone. We should all work on ourselves and relationships with God. As christians we need to do better, giving the children of God a bad rap is not what he would want. we are supposed to be the example for the rest of the world. the bible never tells us to force the gospel on anybody, but plant the seed and let God do the rest.

There’s a difference between becoming gay/trans yourself or becoming an activist and just accepting gay and trans people for who they are just like any other person you meet. upvote 6 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #1 6d

You either see the issue with televising the development of a child or you don’t. You either consider the possibility that a child is unsure or even too young to make these decisions or you don’t. You either realize that at one point in all of our lives we felt the need to do what someone said simply because they were older or in a position of power over us. If you don’t or choose not to consider any of the previous statements then you’re either ironically narrow minded or part of the problem.

upvote 4 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #19 6d

If anyone is narrow minded it’s you because you have an extremely inaccurate view of what trans children’s lives are actually like. A transition for a child who is exploring their gender identity isn’t going to involve a bunch of surgeries and hormones, it involves trying out a different name and maybe a new hairstyle or clothing. If they end up not feeling it’s a good fit for them they just move on with their lives

Your personal or anecdotal experience with (at most) a handfull of "trans children" does not account for the thousands of cases sporadically appearing across the United States, let alone the world. The fact you think that it applies to everyone, is what makes you narrow minded. Just like everyone shouldn’t expect to be accepted, I don't expect you to understand, but that is the way it is until something gets done about it.

well no feeding into delusions of a psychotic person is dangerous and puts them at higher risk of suicide. even more proof trans people aren’t mentally ill

I couldn’t imagine being THIS obsessed with what other people do with their lives. So full of hate. There are people I don’t understand in this world but I still accept them as long as they’re not hurting anyone. Maybe you should try it

this is an issue that doesn’t exist. there’s simply not blue hair adults rounding up kids and making them trans. there are however plenty of catholic priests touching kids at sunday school. ur buying into political lies and it’s making you stupid. please take back control of your life

i wholeheartedly believe that most churches are not safe places for children. i’ve heard way worse stories than mine. i get that you wanna separate your church from the bad churches, but we need to recognize that this problem is connected to christianity as a whole. do you think if i was left alone with a drag queen i would’ve faced the same fate? i think not. the trans people i’ve encountered in my life have been a thousand times more compassionate than any christian i’ve ever met.

i believe trans people have a right to not suffer their entire life. i really don’t care what people do with their bodies or their lives, but i think they have a right to choose. any rhetoric that says otherwise is scary and a sign of the direction this country is heading

christias preach conditional love and it’s why i left the religion. conservatism is unnatural and will be the reason this country fails. a failure to adapt means extinction. do you see how quickly everything has fallen apart?

So when an extremely small amount of people regret experimenting with their gender, the entire concept of transgenderism is unnatural and predatory to children. But when a large number of Christians prey on children and use their churches as protection, suddenly it’s not ok to make generalizations? Are you the only person allowed to do it?

what large number of christians? i already told you they aren’t real christian’s if they are doing that because they aren’t following the commandments of God. the bible says whoever offends children would be better off with a weight tied around their neck and thrown in the ocean. go ahead and support people making life altering and permanent changes to their body. but in a few years when the trend dies off and they are the ones stuck with the mistakes they’ve made, the blame will be on you.
