Take this for what it’s worth but I think it’s harder for girls. I think there is an inherent level of competition that prevents girls from leading into friendship.

Honestly good things come when you just stop actively trying. Some people may disagree with this but it’s happened to me EVERY TIME I focused my energy elsewhere. Most of my friends fell into my life unexpectedly…they weren’t forced

I think as we get older, people don’t want to make new friends. They create a big friends group and slowly they lose contact with some of them but as their life gets busier, they are content with the number of friends they have and don’t want more. That’s partly why it gets difficult as time goes on (including a busier life ofc)
