No. Once a cheater always a cheater. Even if not cheating, they’ve obviously shown they have 0 issue lying as well. Is someone who would easily betray and lie to one of the closest people in their lives, someone you really want to spend your future with? Have children with? Why wait for them to blow up an entire family years down the line by cheating again ?

I cheated on my gf 2 years ago and we’re still together and happy. It’s possible, but it’s hard.

People are imperfect, some people are serial cheaters while others might cheat once and regret it. There’s no guarantee that if someone cheats they’ll do it again

I would take a second and think is it worth it. You may love him, but after he hurt you in the way he did, is it worth it to try to build back up. It’s not an overnight process to forgive repent and move on

This isn’t true at all I cheated once and will never ever do it again I truly feel so much remorse for what I did and I can’t take it back but it won’t happen again

Can’t help but think though, that if your decision making process allowed for that to happen in the first place, where else , and in what other aspects of life could you make serious mistakes again?

I mean it’s understandable for sure but I think with everthing just because you do something once doesn’t mean you’ll do it again. I certainly won’t but I will say once a cheater on you they will always have cheated on you and you can’t change that. I think the trust is destroyed in that specific relationship

Is this said in an in general statement? Or from the perspective of someone who has cheated/been cheated on before?

That’s fair, and that’s essentially the point I tried to make, in that specific context of taking them back and having things ‘be like they used to’ almost impossible to get that can of worms closed again. But I do see your point, especially when young and dumb.
