Which god is there evidence of? There’s thousands. And there’s those who use it for comfort, and those who use it to justify bigotry and genoicde. There’s those who never look inwards or improve their own ideals or world views because they feel like they’re gonna be judged by god; and even that doesn’t stop them from being hateful and prejudiced

There’s actual historical evidence of the Christian God. And yeah that can happen cause there’s amazing thing called free will.

You didn’t answer the question. And also what free will in Christianity? Isn’t everything preordained by your god? Didn’t he create the devil, know he was going to sin, and know he was going to corrupt humanity?

Well there’s lot of archaeological evidence with people, cities, and monuments lining up with the Bible such as the walls of Solomon and the place Jesus was entombed. Granted there can be no scientific like definitive proof of God I can recognize that.

Actually no he didn’t create Satan. He is a fallen angel. Also we have free will and yes everything is preordained but I like to see it as He gives us multiple opportunities and we choose the path we take. Kind of like He sees every possible path

There are many mythologies that has actual places that existed. This isn’t proof that the Christian god is real that just means the bible has some historic value to it.

The temple of Athena exists, is that proof of Greek mythology? The dome of the rock is there, is that proof for every religious book that mentions it? New York is a real place, is that proof of Spider-Man?

And another thing is the “great flood evidence“ people will say there was evidence that there was a giant flood, so that proves that the story of Noah is real, as if humans hadn’t attached stories to actual events they couldn’t explain before. We didn’t know how the sun worked so we told stories of gods that control it, we didn’t know how the seasons changed so we have Hades and Persephone. Evidence of something natural happening doesn’t mean the story we tried to explain it with before is true

I think there’s not really a point to try to defend my own faith. Cause that’s kind of what it boils down to. Faith helps comfort me and makes me a better person.
