I can see it making sense contextually. Like if she says she’s going to the er bc she thinks she has the flu? Nah fam you’re on that train alone. That’s a misuse of the er and I won’t be wasting my time with you. Now actual urgent medical issue? Be right there vroom vroom

I could have had a tonsil abscess since my throat/tonsil swelling hasn’t been relieved by antibiotics (for three days) or pain relievers (for over two weeks). It’s difficult for me to breathe at times. Also, the flu can be life threatening in certain situations.

Right but life threatening flu symptoms and “I have the sniffles and a headache” are NOT the same Also I’d 100% reccomend seeing an urgent care first for your symptoms specifically. They can get you in much faster, get you out faster, and have a much lower copay. Good luck and I hope you’re feeling better soon!

How the fuck do you think I got the antibiotics? Because I went to the urgent care three days before I went to the goddamn ER. People with your mentality are the reason why so many people die of complications of medical neglect.

Sometimes you don’t need to play devils advocate and make up situations to validate crappy choices
