even as i try to rationalize it i just get stuck at, why does everyone go straight to just blaming and condemning me? fine if i did something wrong, tell me, but why doesn’t anyone even bother to ask or understand first? it’s just you’re wrong and you should fix it. sure i guess

you’re talking about how certain things are part of loving yourself and it doesn’t occur to you to wonder why someone would do things that seem the opposite of loving themselves? why they might not actually love themselves very much? you’re talking about how people will take that person for granted and step all over them for it but you don’t think about how people around them may have been doing that to begin with? that that’s why they’re like that?

is it all supposed to just be innate and fixed and unshakeable? the knowledge of how to take care of yourself and how to love yourself? the love of self?
