
For reference that means ~1 in 20 degrees awarded were psychology. Which is HUGE if you realize that we get more and more college graduates every single year. Plus if I’m being completely candid I don’t really know what a psychology major does outside of school therapist, therapist, etc and none of those are paid well.
It’s also because our school is severely underfunded. We have to buy all school supplies ourselves, the gym is the same room as the cafeteria, there’s only like 3 textbooks per classroom, and the poor kids get fed food I wouldn’t even give to my dog 🥲 and the building is like literally falling apart, the ceiling in my classroom is currently collapsed
