Can you explain in a bit more detail what you mean by actually take care of himself? Hygiene wise or mentally?

Oh, I’d say just be honest or like if yall stay the night with each-other or anything be like do you want to take a shower after me/before, or after you say oh I left the water on for you, it may hurt but don’t be scared to say anything, like my boyfriend if he ever did or like when he’s really sweaty after the gym or working out I say love ya but you gotta shower and we laugh about it, if he’s old enough to date he’s old enough to set an alarm to shower and brush his teeth and wash his hands

Of course if you are super passive and not very fond of confrontation then I would slowly start hinting or pushing him towards it or offer to do it together or like ft and brush your teeth simple stuff like that so you don’t make yourself uncomfortable
