is it wrong to talk to multiple guys at once/have multiple talking stages until the one you want the most asks you out?

No that’s kinda the point of the “talking stage” you’re just feeling things out before actually committing to a relationship. It makes sense to talk to multiple people and figure out what you really want.

I realize that exclusivity may not necessarily be established, but if I’m talking to someone and find out I’m just part of a roster, whose to say I’m not your backup if things move forward?

no i completely get that and agree with you. the dating scene rn is just super jacked out and it’s so hard to acc trust someone when they say no one else is involved
