It’s honestly not that hard, and there are a few hacks which help a lot. I found that a lot of the advice/instructions were almost unnecessarily complex, almost like gatekeeping. My starter lives in the fridge most of the time and I only feed it once or twice a week when I need it and it’s been thriving for years.
