this tweet has been brought up so many times over the years. this is very likely a subcontracted “customer service manager” in a third-world call center who speaks english as a second language and is paid below minimum wage to respond to tweets. read the actual medical research, dumbass.
the genuine lack of critical thinking skills on here is astounding. an ASSOCIATION is not causal. there has NEVER been any causal relationship found between autism and tylenol. guess what else is “associated” with elevated risk for autism and ADHD: being white, being rich, living in a city, being enrolled in private school. truly just dumbasses on here, smh
do you not understand the meaning of the word “causal”? do you not understand the difference between a link/association and an actual cause? I’m sorry, like I’m genuinely baffled by how you can’t seem to wrap your head around that very basic concept. I don’t even think my advice to you is to go do more research - my advice for you is literally to expand your vocabulary so you don’t sound like such a moron.
So considering all of these high institutions (J-H, Harvard, etc) have done studies finding correlation, maybe open your mind to the possibility that there MIGHT be a causation. The example you used is an obvious non related correlation. This, not so much. Don’t refute it right away simply bc the messenger.
