They can have a ladybug phone that only makes calls to 3 people and emergency services but def not a smart phone until 16

I got a phone when I was 14 and it worked out great for me! How do we feel about social media? (For middle schoolers) I personally don’t want my kids having social media until high school at the very least

Ong. My kids will get a flip phone only to call me when they r old enough to go places by themselves

i think it's fine to give your kid a phone in middle school (i got mine at 13) because that's around the age where they'll start being socially behind without a phone and it allows them to communicate with you. restrictions , sure, but a phone nonetheless. i'm just against giving <10s phones honestly

i got my first phone at 13 and it was honestly fine. I did worse things on my ipod touch at 10 years old
