i genuinely hate religion and i actively avoid making friends who are religious, or dating men who are religious. i genuinely find it so offputting and shows a lack of intelligence imo

I mean, I think a few things matter here. Like, if they're the type that say "my religion is the only correct one, it says that everyone must live this way, this group of people is terrible, people that disobey the religion will be punished for eternity", and they follow it in every aspect of their lives like a cult, then yeah, I'll probably want nothing to do with them... 1/2

LMFAO. somebody just being gay.... isnt the same as someone having a belief system that wants to restrict people's rights & believes that anyone who doesnt follow their rules will be damned for eternity dumb comparison

If you can avoid people who have a different position than you, so can I. It’s not about the position specifically, but rather the fact this is how you respond due to it not aligning with your views. You don’t have the best comprehension skills because it was never about the stance itself.

2/2 ...but on the other hand, if they're one of those people that are like "yeah, my family's protestant/ Bhuddist/ whatever else, it's no big deal", and they "practice" it like a subtle background thing in their life (like most people I know tbh), I don't really see much of an issue.
