Being a mechanic is a skilled labor job. Mechanics are not uneducated, they just have a different type of education.

Sure but the person I replied to was making very rude comments about people who don’t go to college and as someone from the south I see this sentiment a lot and it’s very insulting

You’re right it is insulting, but I don’t see it as a political thing. Plenty of conservatives from upper-class families say the same type of stuff

Not really. It’s mostly left wing people that feel some kind of moral superiority over college degrees. The right wing people I know (living in a very red state) have lots of respect for blue collar workers, trade workers, and first responders

Very true. Most people who make posts online or engage with political things online often represent the extremes of ideologies. Most Americans agree on many “divisive” issues but the media doesn’t want people to realize it
