It means they don’t care about politics unless it’s happening to them and affecting them

Because everything is political

Because all it does is create arguments and I don’t feel like arguing every day. Both sides are stuck in an “I’m objectively right and the other side is wrong and stupid.” Let us form our own ideas and keep them to ourselves

It’s not that I’m not political, but I don’t see the point in talking about it in every single conversation. Both sides have disgusting people in office who have done horrible things and therefore I will not associate myself with either side and remain as an independent party. I will vote how I see fit based on our current situations but I’m not going to go around talking about my political opinions for small talk. Not everything is political but politics are important to our society!

At the end of the day every politician is an Israeli Puppet. If politics occupy your mind daily you need to get a life.

Both sides are equally bad. Arguing about the stuff solves nothing and offers no real solutions. That’s why I’m not political

The cancer research that affects my dads treatment got halted and we had to move clinics. My mom who works for medicaid is losing her job due to budget cuts to medicaid My transgender friends IDs are no longer considered valid People born here, my friends, have gotten detained by ICE and been held illegally. I work for a school system and the 50 schools has been cut to 39 due to DOE cuts to state funding.

Also idiotic. Politics affects you and those around you. You choosing not to be political just mean you choose to stay an idiot.

Politics isn’t about arguing. It’s not a you are wrong I’m right thing. Arguing is when you let out opinions & emotions without a real solution. Politics is about trying to debate certain beliefs and come to a common ground and solution that will benefit the majority. Politics have created laws that have solved so many things in history it is the reason why you have rights right now. It’s a privilege to have your own rights. I think it’s selfish thing to be non political and never get involved

By voting in people who, once elected, have the power to propose legislation to change those. Voting someone in doesn’t just mean they get to take cool pictures in suits. Is it unreasonable for me to care about politics knowing that the presidential vote caused all of that to happen in my daly life?

Bcs I just have more shit to deal with than something that I barely will effect ? Spending my time studying wtf politics are doing than failing my classes bcs I don’t have time to balance all my assignments doesn’t sound worth it to me

The presidential vote didn’t cause all of that to happen champ. Your single vote truly doesn’t mean anything

It literally did. The BBB trump proposed altered Medicaid and cancer research. The DOE Head was nominated by Trump, Trumps personal executive order changed ID guidelines for the federal government.

You mean the classes that are impacted by funding that the state provides? Or curriculums set by the state, which are implemented by elected officials in school boards?

You’re in here replying to everyone, and no one gives a shit. Sorry you have a victim mentality. It’s clear you’re someone who is way too wrapped up in politics, yet fails to realize that no matter what you do or say, it’s not going to make even a sliver of a difference at the end of the day. You must be the type who goes to protests thinking that you’re actually making a difference, when you’re really just wasting your own time 🥀
