Never used hinge but from what I’ve heard from friends, yes your settings are fucked. I did used to use bumble and unless they’ve changed how the platform works, yes your settings are fucked.

not sure about bumble but on hinge you have to set certain preferences as dealbreakers in order for them to actually filter out who you see/who sees you
