So my brother in law co-signed on my student loans and I fell behind. I called him crying and apologizing about it and he told me he didn’t tell my sister (his wife) they were calling him bc he knows that my family will jump down my throat. Im sobbing now

He is so sweet and understanding and I really hope I can find someone like that one day myself. I wish I wasn’t such a disappointment so he wouldn’t have to cover for me like this

You’re not a disappointment just because you’re struggling. He can clearly see that, and I hope one day you can too

Thank you. I know it’ll get better one day, and I’m actually catching back up and should be fine after this next 1-2 checks, but it just feels so awful that his credit is also on the line whenever I slip up yk? I don’t want to be complicit in fucking up his score when they have a house and a child and stuff for him to worry about

My dad co signed mine and I slipped up too. We both have fucked up credit and I didn’t get my degree because I couldn’t get enough loans for my last year, so I fully get it. It can be so hard, but life is so hard. He clearly loves you and over time credit can be fixed. Mistakes happen.. to everyone. I promise
