Be civil, be quick about it and if he asks to talk about the break up, simply don’t. And if you feel like you regret your choice when you see him again, don’t change your decision. I was in the same situation and broke up with my ex multiple times for the exact same reason as you and every single time it came to returning stuff we ended up back together. Not saying you’re the same of course, just trying to relate and prevent you from suffering the same fate lol
