I did something colossally stupid over the weekend. My boyfriend is going to murder me when he finds out.

No one’s asking the real questions. Legally married? Or fake married?

I think my boyfriend has a tendency to overreact. And I think it’s weird for you to pass judgement when you don’t know what I did

You're avoiding the question, you definitely deserve it

Why’d you put best friend in quotes? They are 100% best friends

Because a best friend wouldn’t marry his best friend’s girlfriend. You’re both pathetic pieces of shit

Anonymous replying to -> #5 1d

I weirdly appreciate these questions for some reason We were super drunk/high and it was like 2am and I happened to be in a cute white sparkly dress and some random old lady thought it was a wedding dress and that we’d just gotten married. As a joke he was all like “thanks isn’t she gorgeous” and he kissed my cheek and then I started laughing hysterically bc I thought it was the funniest thing in the world. So he suggested we take the joke up a notch and go to the chapel across the street

How come the best friend was there but not the bf?

Tbh I don’t entirely remember. I think like an hour earlier I had realized my bf was missing and not responding to my texts and I got really sad so his friend offered to pay for me to play slot machines to cheer me up and I think as that went on we just wandered farther and farther from the group without meaning to

Okay girl I’m ngl, that’s kinda sketch. Did you ever find out where your bf went? I’m not defending your actions btw

Definitely a peculiar situation, and you’re definitely going to have to figure some stuff out. If you’re legally married now you could probably look into an annulment. But this sounds like a pretty serious situation that might be a reason to reevaluate both your relationships and maybe your lifestyle if that’s something you do often. Not saying never drinking or stuff like that again but this sounds like it could have been avoided with a little more awareness. Please be safe & get it sorted out

Unfortunately from my research an annulment isn’t an option for our circumstances. It’d have to be a divorce. But he seemingly wants to stay married which is an even worse issue

1. Little worried your bf was cheating 2. Ngl it kinda sounds like your husband is in love with you. Or maybe I read too many romance novels

Why wouldn’t annulment work btw?

upvote 4 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 1d

Has he expressed any sort of interest before? If yall got away from the group it sounds like he might have wanted to get you away from the group. Maybe not for nefarious purposes but still sounds like in yalls state impulsiveness took over

upvote 11 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #5 1d

Yeah he has expressed interest before, but I really think we just veered from the group accidentally

upvote 6 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #6 1d

An annulment wouldn’t work because we have history technically so there’s like an established relationship. Also for how we acted immediately after the marriage

upvote 2 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 1d

Omg tea?? There’s history? He’s expressed interest?? This is fucked but I’m so invested

Yeah I was super stressed about our impending divorce so he came over to help me destress

upvote 4 downvote

During. I didn’t meet him until after I after dating my bf. I’d been with my bf like 10 months the first time it happened

Why stay with your bf? Also how old are yall? This seems like a not fully developed brain activity

upvote 5 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #5 1d

Social pressure. My parents say they’d be disappointed in me if I left my bf. My friends all say it’d ruin the friendship group if we ever broke up. The only person who tells me it’d be okay is my “husband” but obviously he’s biased. I’m 21, my bf and husband are 22

I don’t mean this condescendingly, but Do you even love the bf? If you cheated on him I feel like that says something about what the relationship means to you.

upvote 6 downvote

I definitely used to. Maybe I still do as a friend. Recently he frustrates me more than anything. He’s always accusing me of cheating for the dumbest things

upvote 4 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> OP 1d

Did he know about the prior cheating? Did you cheat with anyone else? Did he accuse you of cheating before you initially did?

upvote 3 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #5 1d

No he’s never actually known about chasing Never cheated with anyone else Yeah he accused me of cheating so much before I actually did. That’s actually like the main reason why I ended up cheating the very first time

upvote 3 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 1d

Ok, I was actually assuming this was probably the case. Not saying it’s right, but I don’t think you should stay with him. Not saying you should stay with the husband. But def not the bf, because it doesn’t sound like that’s a situation you can build a solid relationship on.

upvote 2 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #5 1d

Idk what I’m going to do about the whole situation. My husband keeps joking what we should just stay married and be together but I’m lowk worried it’s not entirely a joke lol

upvote 3 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 1d

Yeah he’s not joking, he’s just hoping you’ll think it’s a good idea without trying to fully pressure you to stay.

upvote 6 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #5 1d

Okay I mean like he probably is joking since it’s an insane idea and he’s only into me for sex

I doubt it’s just for sex if he got married to you even for the plot. Most guys are scared of that kind of commitment unless it’s with someone they genuinely love
