Maybe theyre not ignoring anything, I know plenty of people why actually have never heard of him doing anything bad. Not everyone is fed the same media as you or even on media at all 🤷‍♂️ If you know everything about him and still like him that does raise questions, but never attribute malice where unawareness occurs.

A lot of the people our age are glued to their phones. They know everything going on,they choose to not let it be a deal breaker. I have not met anyone besides maybe great great grandparents who have no clue what’s going on in the world. Even the children hate trump. We live in a day and age where EVERYONE has a phone including 5 year olds and even the 5 year olds know what trumps doing is wrong

You do not have to know “everything” about trump for him to raise red flags. The news covers so much about how he is a pedo, a hateful man, how he is deporting hundreds of thousands of immigrants. If nothing is raising a red flag while he has been in office, that is ignorance and truly means they don’t care.

Some people don't watch the news is what I'm tryna say, it's just a closed mind frame of thought and you're letting the fucked up elite in power win because youre directing your anger at your neighbor instead of your ruler. That's what they want you to do. And what does hating even more people accomplish? My anger is with my ruler but it’s sure as fuck gonna go towards the neighbor that sees nothing wrong with the behavior. Once again everyone has a phone and takes in media of some sort that encourages them to support trump or not support him. If you are seeing that media and the red flags of what trump is doing and don’t think it’s a problem I don’t want you to be your friend. It’s simple to understand really. I will love my neighbor until they want to deport my other neighbor and condone pedos

There are things I can ignore about others. For example different favorite colors, different favorite animals, different favorite shows, however, we will NEVER get along if we have different morals when it comes to things like touching children, deporting families, or human rights!

Yeah, a lot of people genuinely don’t know what’s going on. We shouldn’t excuse their ignorance but we should keep it in mind when we interact with them. It’s CRITICAL to distinguish between the true believers (maga or worse) and low-info trump voters because some people genuinely have good intentions but are working with bad info, and the second group can be worked with to improve their media/news literacy

OP you have every right to distance yourself from trump voters in your life. But there does need to be an effort by those willing to undertake it to reach out to people in the duped category and pull them out, because in many cases it can be done

We have to keep in mind that there are ongoing efforts to make the media environment as confusing as possible. Combine this with our underfunded and mismanaged education system, there are a lot of people who straight up don’t know what to believe or how to vet the news, who don’t want a pedo president or to deport entire families or take away human rights

Add onto this the fact that so many people are stressed and tired all the time because the people who own everything are squeezing us all from every angle, many have put their focus mainly on their immediate circumstances rather than understanding what’s going on. Maybe they hear their coworkers say this guy will lower prices, so they think “what the hell”. Maybe they hear glimpses of the bad stuff but don’t know if it’s signal or noise. Because there is so much noise
