Idk what heated rivalry is about but every single time I see a woman talk about it 99% of the time it just feels like gay fetishization

I feel like we’re ignoring that this is something the male community does as well, the only difference is that Heated Rivalry has a plot and good acting and provides at least some form of intellectual stimulation whereas men are usually just watching pure lesbian porn

Bro I started watching the first episode and I just felt wrong watching it… and not turned on whatsoever… like what is attractive about gay men having sex to woman

That’s because it is. From what I know, the show itself was made by a gay man (I could be wrong on that so correct me if so) but the audience for these types of shows is almost never actual gay people, because straight women are the demographic that consumes the most queer fiction. Specifically mlm queer fiction. Because they fetishize gay men

I have nothing against the show itself it prob is just a cool love story (romance stuff isn’t my thing so I’ll never willing watch it myself) but it’s not so the way straight women talk about it it just gives fetishization vibes on their end half the time

As a gay man myself I think it is a good love story but it’s undeniable that the reason these shows/books/movies are popular is because it turns straight women on

Just because I mention one issue doesn’t mean the other doesn’t exist

I’m not saying that, it’s just making it sound like a one sided problem and I’m not sure everyone knows that it isn’t

As a straight woman it didn’t turn me on and if I wanted to watch something for the sake of witnessing sex, porn exists

Pretty sure everyone does. It was talked about for a while a little bit back at least from what I’ve seen. Just only mentioned heated rivalry because it’s popular and girls are being weird about it all over

Obviously not every straight woman was actively turned on, that isn’t literally what I mean. What I mean is that straight women have a problem of consuming gay fiction and fantasizing about inserting themselves into the relationship, when the relationship is not for them because it’s GAY. That isn’t to say that you can’t enjoy gay fiction or that you’re a woman who has that problem, because not every woman does. But it’s a thing and gay people have been trying to talk about it for a while
