What you fail to realize is most of these people have been active members of the community in secret their entire lives. Online chat rooms, queer bars and clubs, wearing dresses or feminine clothing when nobody else is home, etc. Things that aren’t visible to others ON PURPOSE

You do have that right. But automatically assuming someone is lying or not a real trans person because they’re transitioning later in life is just straight transphobia. Like trans people transitions are only valid if they look a certain way

That’s not what I’m trying to say. It’s okay to transition late and obviously it won’t be as easy to get SRS or GAC to look like a stereotypical passing trans woman. My argument is that we are TOO accepting of anyone who says ‘oop im trans now hehe’ and immediately exhibits sexual behavior and sexualizes their identity or copies the look of the women around them. That aligns more with ‘sissification’ than being trans… it’s okay to question things sometimes
