I want to learn more about Emmy Noether. I find it really difficult to understand her theorems tbh but it feels like an important and beautiful concept that’s kind of crucial to understand for a comprehensive grasp of things. I mean ofc I understand the big picture stuff about her theorem and it’s implications and I can read what other people say about her and it. But, I don’t have a good grasp on it. Or feel good about it
that there was an intelligent architect behind it. It feels almost purposeful and like some administrator of the simulation placed little breadcrumbs to tease and delight you and tantalize you by saying over and over again, do you really think this came about by chance or some other natural process?
I think it might be kind of a gift to be able to come here and start all over again with a new life and have your memory of all the past ones wiped. If we really do have past lives, I can only imagine that if we did remember them, those memories would come with just as much baggage or more baggage than our current lives have. So I imagine the chance to start over with a blank canvas or even to just forget the mistakes and bad memories of past lives is probably a big deal
Another strange consideration is like, if you were another gender in your previous life, Then what exactly are you? Are you who you are now, who you were then, both, something more than either, or who knows what really. I heard somebody mention that in a video I was watching last night and it seemed like a decent thought 🫤
