Dark romance exists and half the time manages to do much worse than canon or popular queer ships do. The entire Shojo and Shonen genre have either the most bland or toxic couples you’ll ever lay your eyes on that are gay and straight. People are just weird sometimes it’s not a sexuality thing fr. People just suck. Or some couples are just better or more interesting when they are straight or gay. Rant over- sorry.
