I studied Econ so I could get on twitter and tell my friends why a tweet from a republican about the economy is just fundamentally wrong and so wrong that it literally doesn't even make an ounce of sense if you know anything from intro macroeconomics

I think the difference is republicans talk about the economy as if they understand economics. Democrats talk about the economy as though they don't care to know about economics. It's arguably worse to try an engage in a conversation on the economy from a place of authority when you have no place of authority than it is to say "I dont really care about or understand the economic impact of X, I just want it"

It's like in one case you're loud and wrong about the economics and the economics is the whole point while in the other you're ignoring the economics bc it's not really relevant to the point you're making
