Why do people hate the LGBTQIA+ community so much? We are all humans worthy of the right to an equal humanity aren’t we? We all laugh, love, have a favorite song, have friends we laugh ourselves silly with, we all know what it’s like to feel love. Why?

I don’t hate any group of people. I DO follow Gods word (the bible). Same sex marriage is a SIN. Just like swearing is a sin. Thinking something is wrong or sinful does not equal hate. I do my best to love everyone, but when you truly love- does that mean abiding by our sinful nature? or does it mean telling someone the truth. I think it’s telling someone the truth 😉

The Bible does not say love is a sin. You are referencing a passage that has been warped and mistranslated from the original text. I’m very sorry you think a loving god would consider love a sin, but that’s not true. There’s still hope for you, I’ll pray you see the light and invite Jesus in fully

I never said love was a sin! I said same sex marriage was a sin. But let me be clear, it is not me who came to that conclusion. Several Bible verses are commonly cited to describe same-sex acts as sinful. Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13 describe male-male sexual acts as an "abomination". Additionally, Romans 1:26–27 in the New Testament is interpreted as condemning homosexual acts.

All those verses have been horribly mistranslated over the years. You do know that, right? The original text never said anything about same sex relationships

Again, I don’t hate anyone, or any group. Why would I judge when I myself walk as an imperfect human. I sin. I am imperfect.

I understand what you’re saying, but I don’t think it’s accurate to say those verses were “horribly mistranslated.”The passages in Leviticus and Romans have been studied for a long time, and while people debate context, the overall message has been pretty consistent in traditional Christian teaching. At the same time, I’m not saying love is a sin, just that the Bible draws certain boundaries, even if they’re hard to understand or accept.

They have been horribly mistranslated. The verses had nothing to do with same sex relationships until the RSV translation that came out in 1946. 80 years ago. Those are not the words of god, they are the words of evil men. You obviously want to follow gods message, but you have been misinformed. Please do research. A loving god would never say a loving marriage is a sin, regardless of who’s in it.

I’m actually very curious to the point you’re making. I try my best to spread only the true word of the bible. I believe verses can be interpreted in very different ways- as shown in this conversation. With that being said, you clearly believe Jesus is loving in many forms, do you think Jesus would approve of gay relationships? Just straightforward.

Yes, Jesus would 110% approve of gay relationships. Love is love, why would Jesus have an issue two consenting adults uniting in love?

I feel as if this is very contradictory to his word. He is firm and I mean even in the new testament Genesis really gives me all the knowledge I need to know right from wrong in this topic. True love is telling someone the truth, not misinterpreting his word to make it sound more acceptable to commit sinful actions.

It was never a sin. I’m going to continue to pray for you. I’m very sorry you’ve been taken advantage of by people who weaponize gods love.
