But I was getting kinda fat and ugly, and now I'm significantly hotter and leaner, so the trade-off is fair ig 😭

That’s the crazy thing about alcoholics, u guys think u were cooler when u were in addiction and thats just not true. “I liked myself more when i was drunk, but no one else did. Now that I’m sober, I don’t like myself, but everyone else loves me.” Get out ur head and trust u are a lot better now, especially with all of your flaws

I wonder if it’s because now that you’re sober a lot of the underlying issues that you were previously medicating with alcohol are now coming to the surface. They’re more apparent because you’re no longer drowning them with alcohol. That is good though because now you can help them in a healthier way. Great job on your sobriety! It’s a hard journey and we see you!

but everyone else likes me more when i'm on an addictive binge (not alcohol but i have addictions). literally me and everyone else like im genuinely just a better person on drugs.
