Being cautious is understandable. Treating every man like a potential misogynist before he’s done anything isn’t. That kind of resentment is exactly what I’m talking about

But when women trust men easily, they get victim blamed when he turns out to be misogynistic/abusive. Men are constantly shaming women for “not knowing any better” and being “easy”, so the alternative is to be distrustful and let the good ones actually prove they’re good through their actions.. which isn’t hard to do if you’re social

Well the next time you’re asking why women are afraid of men or cautious around them, think back to this conversation. If you don’t want to make an effort to be anti-misogyny don’t be surprised when women don’t want to be around you!

Disagreeing with you isn’t misogyny, and you don’t speak for all women. You’ve also completely lost the point of the post, which was about outright gender hatred and people excusing extreme violence, not women being cautious on dates

I never said disagreeing with a woman is misogyny; misogyny is the cause of women being distrustful and sometimes hateful of men. That is just a fact. And yeah in my original comment I was wondering how Lindsay is even related to women not liking men and feeling suspicious of them

Maybe read some of the discourse around people defending her and trying to blame or frame her husband. That’s exactly why I brought the case up. I’m talking about gender resentment getting so extreme that people excuse horrific behavior and redirect blame onto men

100% correct take. The people defending her are lunatics, but they are comparatively a tiny group of mentally unwell women online. Its nowhere near representative. If someone is telling you otherwise, they might have an agenda.
