I’d like to point out that although climate change is warming the earth, it’s not the reason it’s 80° in October. There’s a lot of misinformation about it because the media sees “ooo warm weather in months that it wasn’t warm before = climate change” when there’s genuinely so many other factors that affect it more that you’d practically have to take a lecture about it to understand, so they just cling to the easiest one to sensationalize
Because most people who still watch the news would probably turn it off if they started talking about ENSO, the polar vortex, how the jet stream pattern changes and why that affects temperature anomalies and pattern shifts, how tropical low pressure systems nudge the jet stream, how high pressure and low pressure pockets position over different areas of the globe depending on the season, the fact that even a potential flip of the earth’s poles could be starting and cause it all but prob not, etc
I’m actually not a Trump supporter. Not sure how that correlates here. I’m just saying that I’m gonna keep using ChatGPT because I can and earth will be fine. And lots of you do things in your daily life that aren’t exactly helping the environment either. You climate change hysteria freaks don’t seem to understand that the environment will be OK long after we’re gone. Y’all only care about climate change insofar as how it affects you personally
The heat is lasting longer and the winters are shorter but more brutal (in my area). Last year, the weather was kind of similar to now in my town. It wasn’t until January that winter really hit. And it was a bunch of blizzard (one was 3 days of nonstop snow), hail, overnight freezes, and record breaking temperatures. It’s getting worse and worse every year
we care about climate change because it does affect us personally and the earth will be okay long after we’re gone because it’ll heal itself because the things poisoning it is all man-made, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t gaf because this is what’s happening right now in the present and if we want future generations to have a good life, then we need to do better and fast.
It’s also not an accurate comparison because we aren’t comparing proportionately. We would need something like a per capita statistic, not total. Obviously social media data centers are going to use more resources, because every single person is on social media. Chatgpt’s user base is a lot smaller, but each paragraph of generation uses so much more water per. Additionally, think about who and why an article like this is written, without accurate comparison. Who’s profiting? Who needs cover?
