My friend cheated on her bf and told this random guy about it and he got so mad. Meanwhile she cheated because her bf was abusive and wouldn’t let her leave and she had the guy help her. The man she told started flipping out calling her a disease and getting rilled up over it like bro it doesn’t affect you

Ok yeah but like what made the cheating necessary

Because she told her bf that she was done with him and he just said no you aren’t ever breaking up with me and she broke up with him multiple times he just wouldn’t allow it and showed up to her house multiple times

So she just moved on as he wouldn’t let her leave

But even if it was normal cheating it only affects the person who got cheated on it doesn’t matter

Yeah but I wouldn’t want to be friends with a cheater

Oh no ofc but she didn’t really cheat she broke up with him and he just said no. But it’s nothing to get mad over it’s just the kinda thing at least for you “oh we don’t share the same morals not for me” not worth getting super angry being like how dare u

Well yeah but I’m talking in the context of someone just cheating for no reason now like if I’m talking to someone randomly and they tell me that I’m like ew I don’t like you as a person fundamentally

Obviously it doesn’t affect him, but it could show that he hates the concept of cheating and let his temper respond instead. Yeah I would be mad too, but my mind is immediately gonna ask what happened. So it’s valid to be mad at somebody for something like that, but he fumbled by immediately flipping out with mean names. He should’ve handled himself better

I don’t think it’s necessarily valid to be mad at a stranger at a situation that doesn’t affect you. If you hear someone did something you don’t like but you don’t know them just avoid them not verbally harass

Which is totally fair I just think it’s crazy to yell at someone cause of it

Ok let’s go to the extreme, say you were talking to someone and they tell you they killed some random person in cold blood just for fun, and never went to jail for it. Would you be mad?

I wouldn’t be mad I would just be freaked out and avoid them

I don’t get mad at things caused by other people that I cannot control it’s a waste of energy imo

Off topic, how do you feel about things like universal pre-k and raising minimum wage?

Why are we taking it this as far as murder and minimum wage lmao I was talking about something trivial.

I think mad was probably not the best word to use. I’d say disappointed would be a better term. That was my fault. I guess more like a stern disappointment?

I was just asking you a question, no “taking it far”

That’s understandable! I think it’s reasonable to have a bit of a reaction but I think it’s silly to let actions of someone else deeply affect you if they don’t relate to you in anyway yk?

I choose not to engage because that was not the point of the post and I won’t have my words twisted haha

Yes. They’re a stranger to me, so I have literally nothing to lose by being brutally honest. But I wouldn’t hold it over their head after the conversation is over

Do you know what off topic means? It means it doesn’t have anything to do with it. That’s why I said it before I asked you about it
