I used to be in a really bad place and did a lot of substance abuse. I got clean and better. Saw all of my friends for a birthday party and found out that only two are my actual friends and happy about me bettering myself instead of the others

The others hate the new sober me and acted very rude and distant after I was declining alcohol and that I don’t drink anymore. I found out so many things that they blamed me for when I wasn’t even in the same city and while I was in detox. I now understand why it was so hard for me to clean up when I was with them all the time

Keep it up king/queen the world at large is proud of you for bettering yourself even if the people near you don’t seem like it.
