If you get mad when you see black people wearing bonnets, especially when it’s morning or in hotels. Please. Get a hobby. A bonnet is not a war crime 😭

People shouldn’t get mad at that kinda stuff, or else they’d be in quite a *hairy* situation

Genuine question, i understand hotels since a lot of people go to breakfast still in pajamas but if you’re out in public, no matter the time of day, why can’t they take them out and do their hair like everyone else does? I don’t get mad or anything but genuinely curious

Bonnets in public is trashy and ghetto, white people don’t go in public with their hair curlers in cause they know how to act

As a Jamaican girl, I was taught not to wear them outside because they’re pyjamas, also not to wear pyjamas outside. Idrc what other ppl do though

And some white girls have started wearing bonnets too now, saying it’s to keep their hair safe when they’ve never needed them before, and we get called ghetto if we wear them🙄

Because it protects your hair, especially if you don’t wanna go your hair OR if you’re hair is done but you wanna protect it until you get to your destination. But in general it’s just a head accessory I never saw the problem with it, especially if it’s pretty

People do be out in about in your PJ’s, have you never went on a quick run in some oversized shirt and shorts or some pajama pants/Sweat pants and a tank top. Especially in college that’s the main fashion half the time cuz no one really cares unless you decide to put effort in OR you got somewhere important to be. People dress comfy all the time so I don’t see why wearing a bonnet got people up and arms sometimes.

Pj’s and bonnets look silly ESPECIALLY out and about in the middle of the day. I don’t care, just my opinion. Move on, it’s not a big deal.

now…you know it’s not the same. don’t be so dense to the stereotypes that arise when black women wear bonnets.

so you’re not aware of racism and how different things affect how black women are perceived? you’re so dense and I really hope you’re not black because if so you need a severe walk up call.

Wait I think I see what you mean- like maybe if the occasion doesn’t call for it it could be as silly as wearing bunny slippers which are cute and cozy but not recommended for outings, but if you’re in a residential area it’s ok
