Yeah so I never claimed I was diagnosing myself in the post, and the definition of diagnose does not include anything referencing a medical professional, the only difference between a doctor saying you have X and yourself or a therapist or whatever is only the doctor can prescribe something
All I’m saying is people who claim to have illnesses without going to see a doctor are the problem and they are the reason no one takes depression, anxiety, autism, and adhd seriously bc they self diagnose and claim to have all these problems for attention. Idk if that’s what you’re doing or not
The conclusion I come to isn't automatically wrong because I'm not a doctor (hence doctors listening to what you think it is then confirming or saying your wrong) and the conclusion a doctor comes to isn't automatically right just because they're a doctor (hence misdiagnoses). Both of these things are even more true relating to mental illness because you can't do physical examinations to confirm or deny a certain suspicion in most cases
Nobody goes to the doctor for no reason (except like a checkup), you go when something's wrong. These things are on the internet for a reason, you check to see what might be wrong and if it warrants going to the doctor then you tell the doctor what you think is wrong then they do whatever. People take mental illness seriously, they just don't take you seriously and you're projecting. They don't take you seriously because you're annoying
Anyways I don't go around claiming things that I haven't gotten a formal medical diagnosis for but I didn't have a formal medical diagnosis for a lot of things, both mental and physical, until I was like of drinking age yet anyone who has experienced me is not shocked that these things apply lol sorry that the only validation you've ever gotten in life is from medical professionals but I'm normal
