i’m a doordasher and somebody tipped me a 100 dollar bill today…but he was high and left it on the ground crumpled so i’m scared it was a mistake 😭 i took it anyway but i feel guilt and shame over it but surely it must’ve been for me right?
You didn’t steal it. If he has a 100 crumpled up in his pocked as he picked up food I’m sure he doesn’t care he lost it

Just donate some to the homeless/charity if you have no way of confirming whether it was meant for you

if it was on the ground in front of the door I wouldn’t have assumed it was for me, especially a tip that large id assume they’d put a note with it, also how did he leave it on the ground but yk he was high?

that was actually my plan! i live in wa and our entire state has been decimated by record breaking floods so i was planning to go purchase a shit ton of food for the relief shelters and the towns without power

i sent him a message saying thank you so much and happy holidays and got no reply, the chat disappears after 15 minutes post-drop off

it was outside the ground before he showed up, i took it and was readying myself to leave when he opened the door confused and we had a brief exchange before i left. he repeatedly looked and saw the money in my hand and didn’t say anything

it seemed routine for a normal cash tip i didn’t even realize how big it was until a moment after he opened the door and i froze
