“False rape allegations ruin men’s lives” Wtf are you talking about? Real allegations don’t even do that. The current president of the usa is proof of that. And basically every guy under his administration.

It’s not really proof of that, yeah trump and them raped, but they have the money and power to pay hush money and millions of followers who don’t care that he did. falsely accusing an average person definitely ruin peoples lives, I’ve seen it happen firsthand

Wtf are YOU talking about? Two things can be true at once ya know? False allegations can ruin lives for some people while real allegations don’t ruin lives for others.

These conversations always lack racial nuance. You’re only referring to powerful white men. There is a dark history of white womens false allegations against black men that you have to content with

This post and comment section proves how cooked we are. Does anyone understand nuance anymore? It’s not always black and white. People with money and power are obviously going to be able to escape consequences easily. The average person will have a much harder time dealing with allegations. Besides, false allegations for ANYTHING are obviously bad, regardless of how likely they are to impact the accused.

Yeah this admin is disgusting. But just bc you commit a crime under it doesn’t mean you’re not going to be held accountable

White liberals lack nuance in general, usually they just sloganeer. Guarantee she doesn’t know who Emmet Till is.

white woman tears is a serious issue, however false accusations still do not ruin people’s lives when they handle it properly & take it to court. you can advocate for more resources for people dealing with false accusations while also understanding that it isn’t just powerful white men who get away with it.

yes, I think I agree. unfortunately people just don’t have the resources to deal with SA nor false accusations

Um… you don’t think black people are disproportionately wrongfully convicted? Especially when the accuser is white?

Yes including the part where you said “false accusations don’t ruin lives when they handle it properly & take it to court.” Court, as in where people are falsely convicted

I'll admit I misworded it. I meant that it should be safer for many people when they take a false accusation to court, especially when they know they have a solid alibi or defense. black people are also much more likely to be harassed & even assaulted while a false accusation goes around, so resources & advocacy are even more important for minorities.
