I think that is a really narrow view point. I myself am Mexican and my family immigrated here when I was 5 (now 20) and we believe if you came in illegally fuck you. My family had to go trough so much shit getting legal statice because we went the right way why should these people get in without the work. Ok quick over simplification question. If a dad were to steals something then get in a car chase with their kid in the car. The police don’t know there is a kid until the dad runs inside his house and leaves his kid in the car the cops see there is a kid and say you left your kid come out and make it easier on him. As in you left your kid behind that traumatic don’t make us have to take your kid for his safety and leave you. Who is in the wrong the person committing the crime or the cop.

I get what you’re saying. However, so many of these kids end up separated from their parents. No child deserves to go through that. God knows what most of them are going through in detention centers.

Yes I know there are bad things but the change of being separated is better than being separated because you get left behind. that is why ICE is so problematic because they pick up ANYONE that isnt white and disappear them, they dont go back to their country, sometimes theyre sent to countries that arent of their own (if theyre not from the US) OR worse and more likely they are sent to uninhabitable prisons , it isnt just oh the kids will be with their family or whatever, its they are being kidnapped and trafficked
