No economy to be an adult basically. Japan experienced this since 1990 and they are ahead by thirty years and economists have declared they have a lost generation. Eventually they’ll declare it here. Bad government policy and big business manipulation is what led to this over the decades.

Had the most atrocious day at my low paying job and came home to cook my own food and then clean it all up. I will now rot for 1.5 hours until it’s time to sleep and then repeat it all again. Why the fuck were humans created

We don’t actually. But what we can do is pool what little freedom we have left to organize and change things

I’ve been thinking about this a lot too. I recently came across this book and it’s sort of helping me put the pieces together to understand why it’s like this

Not to like get political with the title or anything, I just really like how it covers a lot of things that we don’t really learn in school that explain why things are set up the way they are

Feed the children, pensions for old age, sounds pretty good to me. I’m starting to think they made us afraid of the word socialism for a reason. Idk I still need to learn more what each system means, but I know this isn’t the best system

we’ve served the system’s purpose. expended our funds and given away any monetary value attached to our names. the hive has more than enough drones to feed its royalty, the rest can rot. “we’re trapped in the belly of this horrible machine, and the machine is bleeding to death.”

They really do want us to rot. I’m afraid of what will happen when they can automate everything they need. Like are they just going to kill us all off..?

capitalism keeps this empire in power. of course they’d teach us to fear socialism, it would strip them of ideological control. every system feeds its own legitimacy, even illegitimate ones. people immediately assume socialism to be synonymous with communism, which isn’t the case. capitalism and communism are both extremes, the former is just easier to market. if both were poisons, capitalism would just be a slower acting one—no less deadly.

Sorry idk if that’s dramatic but I’m thinking down the line and I can’t imagine them not taking us to this point eventually

you give them too much credit. they would never be direct about it, that requires effort. but it’s already happening. make gasoline essential for daily life, and then make it too expensive for the overwhelming majority of people. housing. groceries. healthcare. push the limits of these. let them starve and fight each other. “we’ll sit back, and they’ll do the work for us.”

Total victim mindset, get over yourself and do something with your life. Get intelligent, it’s easy now with AI, you’re lazy

So just starve us and wall themselves off from consequences basically

they already exist outside of consequence, but it isn’t totally impossible to correct. the masses have this tendency to think that “one person won’t change a thing,” but if everyone thinks that way, then of course there will be no accountability. unfortunately, nearly everyone is desensitized and sedated by the overwhelming nature of today’s sociopolitical and economic reality. a country famously built on rebellion and outrage might, ironically, die a slow and quiet death.

Lowkey Americans have gotten too soft and complacent (no hate to anyone, I include myself in this). We really could change things if we wanted to
