You guys are proving why groceries are high. The fact that you guys are buying eight loaves of bread is insanity. To clear the shelves for a storm that’s not even going to last a day is insanity. That’s why groceries are high.
people r being ridiculous ab this storm i get it but its just snow.. it will literally melt in 2 days…

It is panic buying but there is some reason to panic. Southern infrastructure can’t support ice storms. If your power goes out it may be down for WEEKS and roads won’t be safe to drive on for a while, it takes consistent warm temps to defrost multiple inches of ice on roads

They’re being inconsiderate. Like clearing the whole shelf is ridiculous. Then they wonder why they put 2 minimum or 1 per customer.

Exactly, and if it’s not warm the day before, it won’t be a storm. This won’t even stick like so what are people who actually need groceries and have to wait till a certain day going to do? Exactly, people don’t think.

No you don’t need 8 loaves of bread you need 1. Maybe 2 if you have a big family. Maybe some soups or something you can eat cold if you don’t have a grill or stove but you don’t need to buy out the store of milk

That’s what I’m saying like there’s no need to hoard everything. Tuna packets, jelly, PB and J, etc that’s what you buy. Not milk that’s going to expire in a week. Even then if you need milk that’s bad get milk that can sit out or the powder kind.
