Lets not promote wasteful consumerism. There is literally nothing you need to buy on Amazon. You can get it second hand on ebay or thrift stores or anywhere else. Amazon treats its workers terribly, especially its drivers.

I have a lot of allergies and intolerances. I do have medications but i don’t take medication to PREVENT celiac. Not how it works. I have medications i can take if i do ingest gluten, which is never recommended. And yes much of these are not available near me, or at spiked in costs. I’m gonna amazon prime something stupid bc of you, just wanna let you know.

Nah you’re good, #3 is mostly right but it doesn’t apply to everyone. Especially people living in isolated small towns unfortunately

Are you seriously telling me you cant find food in a grocery store that you can eat? Do you not have medication for your allergies?

That’s not how food allergies work dude… and people don’t always have a lot of options where they live. Some people DO have obstacles that they can’t reasonably get around and you just have to acknowledge that material reality. Let’s encourage people with physical limitations to participate in actions that fall within their scope of abilities and resources rather than alienating them

Yeah thats like 1% of the population big bro I know damn well most people who buy shit on Amazon are mindless consumers buying slop that can be bought at a thrift store for half the price.

Um dude I don’t think it’s that deep man. Also, medication does not fix celiacs or anything? You take medication for the sniffles and itchy eyes. That doesn’t fix consuming something bent on closing up your airways. Most consumers of Amazon do suck but bro you gotta give some empathy to ppl who have been forced to rely on it- Amazon has beaten out many other companies and while the user could find alternatives it’s sometimes a privilege to be able to afford the alternatives that have survived

I mean yeah so let’s focus on those people. It’s extremely frustrating to have dietary limitations that your local stores don’t accommodate for, if you ever experience this you will literally want to rip your hair out

I have an extremely hard time believing Amazon is the only option for you. Like very hard.

I mean there are plenty of reasons why someone would have to rely on it like the all too common food desert that plague America- I will always vote w my wallet and I do judge anyone who would give Starbucks or McDonald’s or target a dime when they aren’t necessary to survive but it’s hard to outvote a monopoly what we need is better legislation so other businesses can get a goddamn foot in the door without bezos buying them or snuffing them out

Bigger cos can sell for affordable prices when they buy out their supply chains, rely on child or slave or child slave labor, and then they crush every other business around them or absorb them until Pepsi coke and whatever are just 1 company pretending to be 6 for the illusion of choice. They exploit their labor crush other cos then exploit their customers taking huge profits from very little investment then cut more and more customers until their product is just slop w no alternative

McDonalds & Starbucks are far more expensive then getting grocieres at walmart or a local grocery store, and Mcdonalds is just pure slop. Lets not act like people cant take accountability for what they eat.

It would be more helpful and effective if you had asked if they’ve looked for alternatives such as ordering directly from food companies online, rather than using a negative and judgmental tone. Because you’re right, there usually are alternatives! But sometimes it takes a few people brainstorming to come up with them. If you want to change people’s behaviors you HAVE to tailor your tone to different contexts. I am begging you hear what I’m saying, bc I’m on the same side as you and I want (1/2)
