I made myself dumb bc I was getting bullied for being smart, maybe I wasn’t being bullied bc these girls were chopped and broke but they were rude and my parents did nothing abt it and I’m really pretty so these girls weren’t bullying me for being a nerd

And now in adulthood I’m getting called dumb by the ppl who bullied me for being too good at math and English and everything when I act dumb bc I wasn’t allowed to stand up for myself when they were being so rude to me when I did nothing to them

The good news is, unless you made yourself dumb by inhaling chemicals or hitting your head against stuff, it’s probably reversible and it sounds like you’re on the right track to rebuild your self confidence and take the power back

I’m partially kind of like the hare from the tortoise and the hare story bc I tried to shut my brain off for a while thinking they were never going to catch up. They commented “lmao imagine not knowing how to use spaces” on one of my posts and I wrote “you mean deleting all the spaces to fit in my entire paragraph” and then they deleted their comment and the other one said that’s still dumb and you can’t use punctuation
