i think when they say that what they mean is “people shouldn’t be considered lesser humans because they’re disabled” which obviously i agree with, but what annoys me a lot is when people try to be sympathetic and it just sounds so infantilizing and scripted. “that must be so hard” yeah it sucks. what else is new. you’re the 10th person to have that exact response recently
