Anyone else watch Project Hail Mary? 93% on rotten tomatoes but.. I don’t see the hype.

i did really enjoy it. the cinematography is fantastic, the music is legendary, and the story is pretty fun when you forgive that it was written by andy weir, a very flawed writer.

i find it very entertaining but it falls apart a bit when my partner and i critique it narratively (and i also can’t stop myself from overthinking the linguistics LMAO)

You didn’t feel like the Martian was a bit more realistic. Isn’t that like the gold standard for realistic space sci fi or something

The realism isnt my focus its just how i categorize it compared to like empire which is space opera but i just enjoyed the movie alot been my favorite this year
